A would-be robber was scared off by a car's panic alarm at McDonald's at 2310 E. 2100 South in Salt Lake City on Thursday morning.
Two employees had closed the restaurant and were walking through the parking lot when one saw a man crouching behind her car. When she saw his ski mask and a pistol, she pushed the panic button on her car remote, causing the horn to honk and the lights to flash.
She ran toward Parleys Way, and the other worker went inside the restaurant. The would-be robber ran eastbound on 2100 South.
