Tire shop fight sends one man to the hospital

An employee of Big O Tires used pliers and an air wrench to attack a co-worker during a fight last Friday.

The fight happened about 2:30 p.m. near 900 South and 300 West, the Salt Lake City police reported.

A 21-year-old employee grabbed another employee's neck with a pair of pliers then hit him several times with the wrench, police reported. The man who was injured was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

The 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
