Bicyclist hit by car in Salt Lake City

A 59-year-old woman riding a bicycle was hit at 344 E. 100 South in Salt Lake City by a motorist exiting the Odyssey House.

The driver looked to the west while she left the lot and hit the cyclist, who was coming from the east, about 2 p.m. Thursday.

The cyclist was taken to a hospital for observation, but there were no apparent injuries. The driver was cited for failing to yield.
