A 45-year-old Millcreek man has been arrested after alledgedly exposing himself to four children through a hole in a fence, police said.

The children, ages 4, 5 and 9, were playing on a trampoline in a backyard near 1800 East and 3300 South when the man approached from an adjoining backyard about 8 p.m. Monday, said Salt Lake County sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson. It was not his yard, though he does live nearby.

He was naked and drinking a beer, and started talking to the children as he exposed himself, Hutson said. The children ran inside the house and told their parents, who called police. About the same time, officers got a call about a naked man in a nearby cemetery. When officers found the man, he was fully clothed, though Hutson said he admitted to the exposure after his arrest.

He was booked into the Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of four counts of lewdness involving a child. He is not a registered sex offender but does have a history of arrests related to drugs, alcohol and other matters.
