Police on Tuesday were trying to find a robber who stabbed a man in the parking lot of a Salt Lake City store.

About 5:15 p.m. Sunday, a 28-year-old man exited his car at the Wal-Mart near 300 West and 1400 South. Two people approached. Police say one of them demanded money and then stabbed the man in the abdomen. The man was taken to a hospital where he was reportedly in good condition, police said.

Witnesses described the attacker as a Latino man in his 20s, thin build and wearing all black except for a red bandana wrapped around his hand. His companion is described as a Latino man in his 20s with a stocky build wearing baggy black shorts, a baggy white shirt and a red bandanna around his neck.

Anyone with information in the case can call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000.
