"Always . . . Patsy Cline" is based on the true story of the singer's friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger, one of Cline's avid fans. The two met by chance in 1961 when Cline, who was traveling alone, performed in Houston. The women exchanged addresses and phone numbers over coffee and began a correspondence that lasted until Cline's death in a plane crash in 1963.
