Posted: 9:23 AM- The Jazz's Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams were both officially announced Monday morning as members of the U.S. Olympic team that will attempt to recapture gold in Beijing in August.

Williams and Boozer were chosen for the 12-man team along with Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Tayshaun Prince, Michael Redd and Dwyane Wade.

The Jazz were the only NBA team to have two players selected to the Olympic team. Boozer played on the U.S.'s bronze-medal winning team in 2004 while Williams played in last summer's Olympic qualifying tournament in Las Vegas.

Boozer is one of only three post players on the roster, along with Howard and Bosh. U.S. managing director Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski opted to keep three point guards in Kidd, Paul and Williams.

The U.S. team will meet in Las Vegas on Saturday for a mini-cap and return July 21 for the start of training camp. The Americans open pool play in the Olympics against China on Aug. 10.

Colangelo and Krzyzewski took part in a press conference in Chicago to make the announcement, where they were joined by Anthony and Wade. The Jazz will hold a press conference this afternoon with Williams and Boozer at their practice facility.
