Joining Speights will be California's Ryan Anderson (6-foot-10, 240 pounds), Alabama's Ronald Steele (6-1, 191), Indiana's D.J. White (6-9, 251), Rider's Jason Thompson (6-11, 250) and Sweden's Rudy Mbemba (5-11, 177).
Speights (6-10, 245) averaged 14.5 points and 8.1 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per game during his sophomore season at Florida. He finished ninth in the country in field goal percentage (.624).
Playing his best in some of Florida's most important games last season, Speights finished with 23 points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots at Tennessee. He also had 12 points and 18 rebounds in the NIT semifinals against UMass.
Speights is projected to be a mid-to-late pick in the first round of the NBA draft, which will be held June 26. The Jazz own the No. 23 pick in the first round, as well as two picks in the second round (No. 44 and No. 53).
