After going through shootaround Friday with the Jazz, rookie guard Morris Almond was reassigned to the NBA Development League's Utah Flash. He scored just seven points on 2-for-10 shooting later that night in a 101-97 loss to Sioux Falls.

A first-round draft pick, Almond has played only 25 minutes all season for the Jazz. He will miss this weekend's trip to Houston, where Almond starred in college at Rice, and missed the trip earlier this season to his hometown of Atlanta. Almond said he was looking forward to playing again after not doing so in the Jazz's previous five games. He seems increasingly likely to spend the bulk of this season playing for the Flash, along with fellow rookie Kyrylo Fesenko.

"This is our first year, so this is all we know, this is all we've seen so far,'' Almond said.
