MARCH 6, 1973- Born in Dallas.

JUNE 28, 1995 - Drafted in the first round of the NBA draft by the Utah Jazz (28th overall).

NOV. 15, 1996 - Grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds vs. Vancouver.

MAY 29, 1997 - Along with John Stockton, led a fourth-quarter comeback win in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals at Houston. The win put the Jazz into the NBA Finals for the first time. He finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots. He went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.

OCT. 31, 1997 - At a pregame shootaround before the season-opener against the Lakers in Los Angeles, he was slapped by Shaquille O'Neal, who was suspended.

JAN. 6, 1998 - Blocked a career-high 11 shots vs. Philadelphia.

APRIL 18, 2001 - Scored a career-high 25 points on 10-for-11 shooting at Phoenix.

JUNE 2002 - Donated a kidney to his ailing sister and became a widely recognized organ transplant spokesman.

APRIL 26, 2003 - Scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in Game 3 of an opening-round playoff series against Sacramento. The Jazz won 107-104.

JULY 20, 2004 - Signed as a free agent by the Sacramento Kings.

AUGUST 2, 2005 - Re-acquired by the Jazz as part of a three-team trade that also involved Sacramento and Memphis.

APRIL 17, 2006 - Announced his retirement effective at the end of the season.
