As frustrated as he has been by the Jazz's recent pattern of slow starts, coach Jerry Sloan will not make any changes to his starting lineup for Wednesday night's game against New Orleans at EnergySolutions Arena.
"I don't know if it's the last chance," Sloan said. "I've got to see how they play. We've just had terrible starts the last 10, 12 games, it seems like, that we haven't been able to get out of the box and really be as effective as you'd like to be."
The Jazz fell behind 13-4 in the opening three minutes of Monday's victory over Golden State and trailed 37-20 after the first quarter of Friday's loss to the Lakers. They stumbled similarly in the five games on their pre-Christmas trip.
New Orleans snapped the Lakers' 15-game home winning streak with a 116-105 victory Tuesday. David West finished with 40 points and 11 rebounds while Chris Paul totaled 32 points and 15 assists.
It will be the first showdown between Paul and Deron Williams this season. Williams was said to be battling a cold as he left the Jazz's pregame shootaround.
