Boozer was called for an offensive foul and headed to the bench for the final 9:20 of the quarter with his fourth personal. The Knicks outscored the Jazz 22-11 the rest of the quarter and built a seven-point lead.
"It hurt, man, because it was a whole different momentum," Boozer said. "We were rolling. It seemed like we were about to have a chance to break it wide open a little bit, and then I got my fourth. They got tremendous confidence from that, and they started attacking the rim a little bit."
Boozer was dominant inside against the undersized Knicks, finishing with 19 points and 17 rebounds. After he went to the bench, the Jazz committed five turnovers, including two shot-clock violations, and went scoreless the final 4:31 of the quarter.
Sure shot
The Jazz were able to withstand an early barrage that saw New York hit five three-pointers in large part because of Ronnie Brewer, who hit two three-pointers and finished with 12 points, seven assists, seven steals, four rebounds and four turnovers.
"It felt good," Brewer said. "Ronnie Price found me a couple times when I was open. I think it's my fault for not continuing to be aggressive the whole entire game."
Injury report
Deron Williams didn't play and said his sprained left ankle swelled on the four-hour flight Saturday, "which it hasn't done in a while." Williams is expected to test the ankle at practice today in Philadelphia, the Jazz's only practice on the trip.
