Three people were killed in Box Elder County early Monday morning in a single-car rollover.

According to the Box Elder County sheriff's office, a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder with four occupants — two men and two women — was northbound on 6800 West (Iowa String Road) near 8300 North when it left the roadway and rolled shortly before 2 a.m. The car came to rest on its side near a canal.

Alcohol was involved, according to Chief Deputy Dale Ward. Seat belts were not in use. All four occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

The bodies of two men were found near the SUV. They have been identified as Jose Gabriel Esquivel, 40, of Garland, and Chris C. Martin, 40, of Willard.

The body of the third fatality, a woman identified as Adalynn Head, 37 of Tremonton, was found in the canal, more than a mile downstream from the accident.

Cherie Ann Collyer, 39, of Perry, survived the accident. She was taken to McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden. Her condition and the extent of her injuries remained unknown Monday afternoon, according to a news release.
