Just in time for the weekend, the forecast calls for more typical Utah spring weather, with sunshine and clouds in an atmospheric ballet across power blue skies.

Saturday brings highs around 70 degrees to the Wasatch Front, up 10 degrees from Friday's highs. Isolated rain showers will usher in Sunday under partly cloudy horizons, with temperatures again flirting with 70 as clouds briefly subside ahead of nighttime thunderstorms.

Sunshine and rain, it's all the same. Weather is fickle, the heart is constant, as the Hartley Brothers sing: "Being close you to is like living in a dream . . . I love you through sunshine, and you know I love you through rain."

Southern Utahns will bask in mostly clear, sunny weather with highs Saturday in the mid-80s, up 10 degrees from Friday's forecast. Sunday will see upper-80s to low-90s in Utah's Dixie.

Not all is paradise regained, however. The Utah Division of Air Quality forecasts degraded conditions statewide, with all areas earning "yellow," or moderate conditions for particulate pollution.

At least allergy sufferers get something of a break. The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website rated mulberry as "high," but all the other sources of itchy eyes and sneezing were at "low" levels as of Friday.
