Utah Transit Authority employees worked through the night to make repairs after a downtown Salt Lake City TRAX train-car crash that put a woman and teenage girl in the hospital.

UTA spokesman Remi Barron said that as of dawn Thursday, all of the system's light rail routes were back on schedule.

A 32-year-old woman was driving a northbound sedan that collided with a, eastbound TRAX train at 5:12 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 700 South and West Temple, said Salt Lake City police Lt. Robin Heiden. The driver and her 14-year-old female passenger were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said both were in serious condition on Thursday.

As a result of the crash, TRAX services into and out of downtown Salt Lake City suffered delays well into late Wednesday night. UTA bussed riders from key locations around the service outage.

SLCPD's investigation into the crash is ongoing.
