A man was in "very critical condition" after his SUV rolled and slammed into a concrete barrier wall on Interstate 215 early Friday morning.

The Utah Highway Patrol says the man, in his 20s, was alone in the SUV when he crashed in the northbound lane near California Avenue about 4 a.m.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt, and was ejected, said UHP Sgt. Zach Randall. The man reportedly was found about 100 feet away from the wreckage.

The man was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital with extensive and life-threatening injuries.
