'Pirates of Penzance'

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Center Street Musical Theatre, 177 W. Center St., Provo

What: Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for students, seniors and kids. Monday Night Family Show pass is $45 for the immediate family.

Jammy Time

Time: 7 p.m.

Where: Murray Library, 166 E. 5300 South, Murray

What: Drop-in storytime for children ages 2 to 7 and their families. Come enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and action rhymes. Feel free to come in your pajamas. No registration is required.

Saturday

Earth Day celebration

Time: 8:30 a.m. to noon

Where: Bend-in-the-River, 1030 W. Fremont Ave. (1100 South), Salt Lake City

What: Help with landscape restoration and take tours of this urban natural area along the Jordan River. Event includes activities for kids and refreshments. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, tools and work gloves, although the Bend has some tools that can be borrowed.

Saturday

Earth Day celebration

Time: Noon to 4 p.m.

Where: Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th St., Ogden

What: This Earth Day celebration includes earth-friendly vendors, exhibitors, entertainment, food and activities. Explore the trails and visit the Dr. Ezekiel R. and Edna Wattis Dumke Picnic Grove and Treehouse. Enjoy the view from the Willard L. Eccles Observation Tower at Avocet Pond, or just kick back and make new friends. $1 per person; free if you ride the bus, bike or walk. Donations will be gratefully accepted to support the center.
