Classes on New England research

The Family History Library at Temple Square is offering an all-day series of classes on New England research. Topics include collections, land and tax records and military records. The free event is Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Space is limited. Call 801-240-4950 or visit http://www.familysearch.org.


Toadally fun

The City Library has gone "Toadally Frogs" through July. Brian Roller, native aquatics biologist with the Division of Wildlife Resources, will speak about frogs and toads Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Main Library, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. Free.

'Connect for Safety'

Qwest Communications and the National Emergency Number Association are sponsoring "Connect for Safety," a program stressing the importance of making sure family members know emergency numbers. Qwest will provide 500 corded phones and tips for staying safe. The event is Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Fashion Place Mall, 6161 S. State St., Murray.
