Living Traditions Festival ­— a free cultural celebration presented by the Salt Lake City Arts Council that includes dance, music, painting, sculpture and ethnic foods from around the world ­— kicked off Friday at Salt Lake City's Library Square. The event, which is in its 32nd year, featured more than 70 performances throughout the weekend, including new performances by the Mon Community of Utah and the Boys Evangelist of the Holy Trinity.

The festival runs through today.
