Police are looking for a knife-wielding man who fled one east Salt Lake City break-in only to enter another home, terrorize a woman and steal her car.

The suspect — described as a Latino or "olive-skinned" man in his mid-20s, sporting a spiky Mohawk haircut and clad in dark clothing and a camouflage jacket — initially was spotted in the area of 1300 South and Emigration Street (about 1750 East).

The suspect was meandering through the neighborhood, glancing into cars and entering into residential yards. He was then seen inside an open garage, where he fled on foot after a concerned neighbor confronted him.

About two blocks east, the suspect entered a home through an unlocked back door and confronted a 43-year-old woman, taking her car keys at knifepoint.

He was last seen driving away in the victim's silver 2016 Chrysler Town and Country minivan.
