Bernie Sanders has scheduled his reunion with Utah supporters.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez and the independent senator from Vermont will be on a multistate unity tour to rally Democrats around building a stronger party, according to a news release, and they plan to visit Salt Lake City on April 21 at the Rail Event Center.

The doors for the rally are scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m.

"Their efforts will help strengthen the Democratic Party nationwide and help further the middle-class agenda," state party Chairman Peter Corroon said last week. "We've seen a lot of Democrats wanting to get involved after the presidential election, and I think the Tom Perez and Bernie Sanders visit will help keep them motivated for the races in 2018."

The weeklong tour, scheduled to begin Monday in Maine, comes after the divisive 2016 presidential primary between Sanders and Hillary Clinton. It's set to stop in Florida, Arizona, Kentucky, Nevada and Nebraska.
