Finicity signs agreement to help Wells Fargo share customer info

Finicity, a Murray-based company that provides real-time financial data aggregation and insights, has signed an agreement to help Wells Fargo Bank share customer information with financial apps and services.

Wells Fargo spokesman Anthony Timmons said the data-exchange agreement, whose terms were not disclosed, is the first that the bank has negotiated with a data-aggregation provider.

He said it will help the broader financial application developer community to access Wells Fargo customer data — once proper authorizations are obtained.

"We're continually implementing strategies that ensure the highest levels of data quality, speed and uptime in our industry," said Finicity CEO Steve Smith.
