A motorcyclist was injured Sunday evening in a hit-and-run collision at 1300 E. Van Winkle Expressway in Holladay, according to the Unified Police Department.

A male driving a light gray sedan fled after the crash, which occurred about 7 p.m., UPD said in a tweet.

The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man, was not wearing a helmet and was taken to a hospital in serious condition with a head injury, UPD said.

The sedan, make and model unknown, has a rounded front with a box-like back end, UPD said.

The Tribune will update this story as more details become available.
