Three big acts — a progressive-rock legend, a collaboration of two great bluesmen and a popular indie-folk band — will be coming to play at Red Butte Garden this summer.

Organizers of Red Butte's outdoor concert series announced three of this summer's acts on Monday. The three shows are:

Jethro Tull by Ian Anderson • Vocalist/guitarist/flutist Anderson is marking the 50th anniversary of the progressive-rock band's founding with a tour, which lands at Red Butte on Tuesday, May 23.

Taj Mo: The Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo' Band • Taj Mahal and Keb' Mo', both long-standing blues guitarists, will perform together at Red Butte on Sunday, June 4.

The Head and the Heart • The Seattle indie-folk band, which played last November at the new Eccles Theatre, returns to Utah for a Red Butte show on Sunday, Aug. 13.

The rest of the venue's summer series will be revealed April 12.

Tickets for the season go on sale to Garden members on Monday, April 24, at 7 p.m., and to the general public on Monday, May 1, at 9 a.m., at the Red Butte website.
