Various prices • Several area restaurants and bars have created tragic cocktails with names like "Blood Oath" and "Death of a Heroine" for Utah Opera's upcoming production of "Lucia di Lammermoor." The Gothic tragedy opens Saturday and continues March 13, 15, 17 and 19 at the Capitol Theatre.

The drinks — part of the "Libretti & Libations" promotion — can be found at BTG Wine Bar/CaffĂ© Molise, Finca, HSL, Pallet and Takashi in Salt Lake City; and Handle and Tupelo, in Park City. Prices vary. Here are the details:

Lammermoor Gardens, at BTG Wine Bar/Caffe Molise • Gin, Creme de Violette, St. Germaine, Aperol, house-made tonic syrup, fresh lemon juice, grapefruit bitters and a lavender-sugar rim.

Blood Oath, at Finca • Whiskey, cappelletti, blood orange and Mayan spice brandy cordial, pomegranate juice, bitters, flowers, cacao and a blood-orange garnish.

Sweet Smoke, at Handle • Scotch, Drambuie, lemon, ginger-infused honey water.

Kirkwall, at HSL • Gin, house-made vegetable juice, French liqueur, pickled vegetable.

Death of a Heroine, at Pallet Bistro • Campari, blood-orange simple syrup, rose water, Lambrusco red wine and dehydrated rose petals — plus a Hawaiian black sea salt rim.

Wolf's Crag, at Takashi • Japanese whiskey, Campari, ume plum liqueur, grapefruit bitters and a Scotch whisky rinse.

Un Amore Celeste ("A Heavenly Love"), at Tupelo • Scotch, Drambuie, absinthe, fresh rosemary sprig.
