American Fork senior Casey Clinger was named the Gatorade Utah Boys' Cross Country Runner of the Year on Monday.

Clinger won the Class 5A state title in a course-record 14 minutes, 42.9 seconds. He then went on to win the title at the Nike Cross Nationals Final for the second consecutive year. He finished that race in 15:28.4.

Clinger has commited to BYU.
