A woman has been arrested and charged for her alleged involvement in a homicide Saturday in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Sue Mary Hickman was charged with criminal homicide, according to an arrest report issued by the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office. The report stated that Hickman and the victim, 54-year-old Rose Harris — who police have identified as her partner — lived together in their home at about 550 N. Wall St.

Hickman allegedly phoned Salt Lake City police at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday requesting a welfare check. When the dispatcher asked for reasons why, Hickman allegedly replied, "I shot her, I did it, she made me snap, I couldn't take it anymore, her drinking."

When police arrived, they found a woman dead. Hickman allegedly admitted her involvement to five individuals and two SLPD officers.
