PrincePerelson's new office to focus on Utah County job market

Staffing and recruitment company PrincePerelson & Associates is opening an office in Lehi to deal with the job market in Utah County, particularly the technology sector known as Silicon Slopes.

"We are establishing a geographic presence that places us in the heart of where our candidates and clients live and work," said Jill Perelson, founder and CEO of the Salt Lake City-based company.

Christy Nelson, the firm's director of recruitment, will lead the office. Nelson has recruited finance and engineering talent for technology, manufacturing and professional-services companies.

The office is at 2940 W. Maple Loop Dr., Suite 303.

Building maintenance firm, City Wide, opens new branch in Murray

City Wide, a building maintenance management company founded in Kansas City in 1961, has opened a branch at 5505 S. 900 East in Murray.

Gerry Ogris owns the City Wide of Salt Lake City franchise, which will serve commercial properties in Salt Lake, Utah and Wasatch counties. He has more than 20 years of business experience.

Services include janitorial work, floor care, window washing, snow removal, parking-lot maintenance and landscaping, Ogris said.

Weichert Realtors collecting shoes for Soles4Souls

An American Fork company has a goal of collecting 100,000 pairs of shoes to the nonprofit Soles4Souls.

Realtor Ned Chidester said used and new shoes may be dropped off at Weichert Realtors at the Rockies, 359 E. State St., in American Fork. He called Soles4Souls, which has delivered 26 million pairs of shoes to 127 countries since 2006, was "a social enterprise where solid business practices are used to create positive change in people's lives."
