A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in West Valley City, and a suspect has been arrested, according to West Valley City police.

Around 2 a.m., officers responded to a shooting near 1800 W. Parkway Blvd. They found a man, identified as Byron Williams, 25, of West Valley City, outside an apartment building with multiple gunshot wounds. Williams was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Officers secured the area and arrested a suspect, identified as Christopher Bonds, 26, of West Valley City.

The incident is still under investigation, according to police.
