Police are looking for a man they believe kidnapped two people Friday and may also be connected to a homicide.

The Duchesne County Sheriff's Office suspects 34-year-old James Main Jr. of forcing two people out of a residence north of Roosevelt and into a vehicle at gunpoint about 7 p.m. He then allegedly forced the people to drive him to a residence in Roosevelt, where a "struggle ensued" between the suspected abductees and another person at the house.

Main fired a shot at them and took off in their vehicle, the two people later told police. Police found the vehicle later in north Duchesne County but Main is still on the loose.

As police began to investigate, deputies found the body of a 56-year-old man in his home in west Duchesne County. They are investigating the death as a homicide and believe it is connected to the abduction.

Main is believed to be driving a 2000 white Ford F-250 extended cab truck with a wench hoist in the back and license plate number A020NK. Police encourage anyone who encounters Main to use caution.

Anyone with information about the incidents or Main's whereabouts is asked to contact the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office and Roosevelt police by calling dispatch at 435-722-4558.
