Utah's gymnastics team will continue the trend of more TV time as its Red Rocks Preview, scheduled for Dec. 9, will be televised for the first time on the Pac-12 Networks.
In addition, Utah's home meet against Pac-12 foe UCLA will be televised live on ESPNU, marking the first time the Utes have been televised by the network.
The Utes will also appear on the Pac-12 Networks eight other times, according to the schedule that was released on Tuesday.
The Utes open the regular season against Michigan on Jan. 7 then travel to BYU the following week. Utah's first conference meet is against Washington Jan. 28 in a 2:30 p.m. event.
Unlike last year, when the Utes drew just 13,162 in attendance for a Monday night win against Arizona, all of Utah's meets will be on Fridays or Saturdays this season.
Utah's schedule seems to be a good one for the fans and the team alike without any back-to-back road trips.
"We think this is a great schedule for our fans," Utah co-head coach Tom Farden said. "We are thrilled all of our meets are on Friday and Saturday, when we have proved we can pack our arena and provide a great atmosphere for not only our team, but visiting teams and television audiences. The extensive live television coverage is another great benefit of this schedule."
The postseason schedule will all be on the road with the Pac-12 Championships in Seattle and the NCAA championships in St. Louis.
The regionals will be held at Seattle, Athens, Ga., Fayetteville, Ark., Champaign, Ill., Lincoln, Neb., and Morgantown, W. Va.
