St. George police confirmed that an elderly man suffering dementia was found deceased inside his car outside of Toquerville.

Edward Raymond Brogly, 84, had last been seen alive Tuesday afternoon as he drove away from his St. George home. He reportedly had said he was going to dinner at a local restaurant.

The cause of death was undetermined, but Brogly had been considered missing and endangered not only due to his dementia, but diabetes.

St. George police did go to the scene where Brogly's car and body were found, but the investigation had been turned over to the Washington County Sheriff's Office due to jurisdictional considerations.

Earlier this month, Brogly had apparently become confused as he drove to the Kolob Canyons area, a favorite destination of his. He was later found with his vehicle, out of gas, near Panguitch.
