Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who groped three women jogging the Provo River Trail early Monday morning.

Three women called police early Monday morning reporting separate incidents of a man groping them while they were running on the river trail near 3700 N. University Avenue.

"The suspect, who was also running, would act like he wanted to give the victim a high five or shake their hand," police officials wrote in a Facebook post. "Once the victim went to reciprocate the action, the suspect would then use this as an opportunity to grope them."

Police say each incident was brief, and the suspect did not speak to the women or try to restrain them.

"This criminal was so brazen, that one of the victims was running with a partner at the time of the assault," police wrote.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid- to late-20s or early-30s who is approximately 5-foot-10 with a medium build. He has short blonde hair and a short beard. At the time of the assaults, he was wearing black track pants, a dark shirt and a jacket tied around his waist.

Any additional victims or witnesses are encouraged to call police at 801-852-6210.
