Jazz assistant coach Johnnie Bryant will participate in a Basketball Without Borders camp in Angola, Africa, next week.
Bryant, who is entering his fifth season with the Jazz, will be part of a group running the camp in Luanda, Angola, from Aug. 31-Sept. 3. The group will host a clinic for 100 boys and girls from schools in the area as well as provide the schools with refurbishments and donations. Another group, Hoops 4 Hope, will host sessions for campers, focusing on "HIV and AIDS prevention, education, leadership lessons and character development." It will be the first ever Basketball Without Borders outreach in the country.
