Former record-setting Jordan quarterback Austin Kafentzis is no longer listed on the active roster at Nevada — the school he transferred to from Wisconsin — and has left the program, The Tribune confirmed on Friday.

Honored as The Salt Lake Tribune's Player of the Year in 2014, Kafentzis holds 19 Utah records and three national records, and is one of only two high school players in the nation to accumulate 20,000 total yards of offense. He led the Beetdiggers to the Class 5A championship as a sophomore in 2012.

Kafentzis was recruited to Wisconsin as a four-star prospect by former coach Gary Andersen, who left the Badgers for Oregon State. Kafentzis elected to enroll in Madison despite Andersen's departure, but eventually transferred after finishing fifth on the depth chart at quarterback after spring ball, according to a report by the Wisconsin State Journal.

Kafentzis sat out last season per NCAA transfer rules. The reasoning behind his departure from the Nevada program is currently unknown.
