Salt Lake City's new George S. and Dolores DorĂ© Eccles Theater has booked its first concert — and it's happening before its first Broadway tour.

The Seattle indie-folk group The Head and the Heart today announced more fall tour dates — including a stop at the new Eccles Theater on Wednesday, Nov. 2. (The show is also posted on the theater's website.)

The band is a favorite with Utah fans. The group opened for The Shins at Red Butte Garden in 2012, and headlined at the Twilight Concert Series in 2014.

The concert is, so far, the first act scheduled to play at the Eccles after its Oct. 18 grand opening. The first touring stage production, "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical," starts its run Nov. 15.

Tickets for The Head and the Heart, priced from $35.50 to $55.50, are now on sale at the Eccles website. Buying a ticket online also gets the buyer a free copy of the band's new album, "Signs of Light," which will be released Sept. 9.
