New York • Adrian Gonzalez snapped a ninth-inning tie with a two-run single off suddenly struggling closer Jeurys Familia, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Mets 4-2.

Curtis Granderson hit a tying triple for the Mets immediately after Clayton Kershaw was lifted with two outs in the eighth. But the Dodgers quickly regrouped for their sixth victory in seven games since losing four straight.

Kershaw struck out 10, walked none and capped a magnificent May with another sublime performance.

Adam Liberatore (1-0) got the win. Kenley Jansen pitched a perfect ninth for his 15th save.

Familia (2-1) allowed two runs on two hits and two walks.

YANKEES 2, RAYS 1

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. • Starlin Castro's two-run, seventh-inning homer off Jake Odorizzi was the Yankees' only hit of the game, enough to give New York a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.

According to Baseball Reference data going back to 1913, the Yankees' only other one-hit win was when Charlie Mullen had an RBI single to beat Cleveland in six innings in a doubleheader nightcap on July 10, 1914.

Nathan Eovaldi (6-2) gave up one run and six hits in six innings to win his career-best fifth consecutive start and beat Odorizzi (2-3).

Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman each pitched a perfect inning and combined for seven strikeouts. Chapman got his seventh save.

RED SOX 5, BLUE JAYS 3

TORONTO • Dustin Pedroia hit an RBI double off Drew Storen in the 11th as Boston avoided a three-game sweep.

Blake Swihart drew a one-out walk against Gavin Floyd (2-4) to start the rally.

Clay Buchholz (3-5) pitched one inning in his first relief appearance since Aug. 17, 2008.

Koji Uehara finished for his first save as Boston became the first AL team to reach 30 wins.

ORIOLES 6, INDIANS 4

CLEVELAND • Hyun Soo Kim's first major league home run broke a seventh-inning tie against Jeff Manship (0-1), and Nolan Reimold added a leadoff homer in the ninth.

Chris Tillman (7-1) allowed three homers and four runs in six innings but improved to 6-0 in his last seven starts. Darren O'Day worked out of bases-loaded, one-out trouble in the eighth, and Zach Britton got out of a jam in the ninth for his 14th save.

Mark Trumbo hit a three-run double in the first.

NATIONALS 10, CARDINALS 2

WASHINGTON • Stephen Strasburg (9-0) won his 12th consecutive decision dating to last season, pitching six innings of one-run ball as Washington salvaged a four-game split.

Strasburg improved to 12-0 in 15 starts since losing to the Mets on Sept. 9, and the Nationals have won all 15 of those games. The 12 consecutive winning decisions is a franchise record for a starter, breaking a mark shared by Livan Hernandez (2005) and Dennis Martinez (1989).

Jayson Werth connected for a pinch-hit grand slam. Wilson Ramos had three hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in four runs. Bryce Harper hit an RBI single during a three-run fourth off Michael Wacha (2-6), who lost his sixth straight decision.

MARLINS 7, BRAVES 3

ATLANTA • Derek Dietrich hit a tiebreaking, two-run homer and drove in four runs before getting hurt on a foul ball hit into Miami's dugout.

Dietrich's homer landed deep in the lower section of the right-field seats in the sixth, giving Miami a 3-1 lead. A former Georgia Tech star, Dietrich added a two-run double off Eric O'Flaherty in the seventh inning, then was hit by a foul ball off the bat of Christian Yelich in the ninth.

The team said X-rays were negative and Dietrich was to remain in Atlanta on Sunday night for further evaluations.

Tom Koehler (3-5) allowed three runs — two earned — three hits and five walks in seven-plus innings. Julio Teheran (1-5) gave up three runs, five hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings.

BREWERS 5, REDS 4

MILWAUKEE • Jonathan Lucroy drove in three runs, giving him nine RBIs in the series and sending Cincinnati to its 12th loss in 13 games. Jonathan Villar scored three runs and drove in another and Milwaukee won for the fifth time in six games.

Jimmy Nelson (5-3) allowed two runs and six hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Jay Bruce homered for Cincinnati, which is 4-19 away from home.

Blaine Boyer threw a called third strike past pinch-hitter Jordan Pacheco for his first save since May 30 last year. Brandon Finnegan (1-4) lost his fourth straight decision, allowing four runs, six hits and four walks in 6 1/3 innings.

ROYALS 5, WHITE SOX 4

KANSAS CITY, Mo. • Cheslor Cuthbert drove in the go-ahead run with an infield hit in a three-run eighth.

Chicago wasted a 4-2 lead after failing to protect a 5-2 seventh-inning advantage on Friday and a 7-1 ninth-inning margin on Saturday. White Sox relievers allowed 17 runs, 15 hits and eight walks over 6 1/3 innings in the three-game series, and Chicago has lost 14 of its last 18 games after a 23-10 start.

Seeking to become the major leagues' first 10-game winner, Chris Sale left with a 4-2 lead after seven innings. Lorenzo Cain homered with one out off Nate Jones (2-1) to start the go-ahead rally.

Chris Young (2-5) pitched a 1-2-3 eighth, and Wade Davis thew a perfect ninth for his 14th save.

CUBS 7, PHILLIES 2

CHICAGO • Ben Zobrist hit a three-run homer off Vince Velasquez (5-2) for a 5-0 lead in the third as Chicago completed a three-game sweep and won its fifth straight.

John Lackey (5-2) gave up one run and four hits in seven innings, sending Philadelphia to its seventh loss in nine games.

Velasquez allowed seven runs and nine hits in 4 2/3 innings as they Phillies were swept at Wrigley Field for the first time since 1995.

RANGERS 6, PIRATES 2

ARLINGTON, Texas • Struggling sluggers Prince Fielder and Mitch Moreland homered during a four-run fourth inning.

Martin Perez (3-4) gave up two runs in six innings and finished May with a 2.23 ERA.

Fielder ended a 34-game homer drought with his third of the season leading off the fourth. Moreland, who stopped a 1-for-27 skid with a homer Saturday, hit a three-run shot .

Pittsburgh lefty Francisco Liriano (4-4) had yet to give up a homer to a left-handed hitter this season.

TWINS 5, MARINERS 4

SEATTLE • Joe Mauer and Miguel Sano homered for his fourth straight game and Joe Mauer for his third as Minnesota completed a three-game sweep.

Mauer and Sano hit back-to-back home runs off Taijuan Walker (2-5) into the bullpens behind left field for a 3-2 lead in the fourth.

Ricky Nolasco (2-3) allowed two runs and three hits in six innings, and Kevin Jepsen got his sixth save despite allowing two runs.

ATHLETICS 4, TIGERS 2

OAKLAND, Calif. • Pinch-hitter Billy Butler had a two-run single in the sixth as Oakland rallied.

A's starter Rich Hill, who left the game with an apparent left shoulder injury, went 6 1/3 innings to win his fifth straight start. Hill (8-3) gave up two runs and five hits.

Mike Pelfrey (0-5) allowed three unearned runs and six hits in 5 2/3 innings.

DIAMONDBACKS 6, PADRES 3

PHOENIX • Archie Bradley (4-5) struck out a career-high nine in 7 1/3 innings and Arizona had its second straight five-run second inning.

Recalled from Triple-A, Bradley (2-0) allowed three runs, four hits and a walk. His innings total was his big league high.

Paul Goldschmidt had two hits and two RBIs. He is hitting .348 (14 for 46) in his last 13 games.

Drew Pomeranz (4-5) gave up a season-high six runs, five hits and four walks in five innings with nine strikeouts. His ERA, which had been second to the Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw among qualifying pitchers, rose from 1.70 to 2.48.

Brad Ziegler pitched a hitless ninth for his ninth save. San Diego has lost six of seven and 10 of 13.

GIANTS 8, ROCKIES 3

DENVER • Hunter Pence had three of a record-tying eight doubles for San Francisco.

Pence's double in the eighth helped equal a mark accomplished four times since the Giants moved to San Francisco after the 1957 season. Denard Span hit his first homer since April 4 as part of a 17-hit attack.

Johnny Cueto (8-1) allowed two runs — one earned — and six hits to become the first Giants pitcher to win at least eight of his first 11 starts since Shawn Estes in 1997.

Chris Rusin (1-3) gave up six runs and 11 hits in five innings.

ASTROS 8, ANGELS 6

ANAHEIM, Calif. • Pinch-hitter Carlos Correa had a three-run homer off Mike Morin (1-1) in the 13th inning.

Correa got a run-scoring hit in the 13th inning for the second time in six games, following up his game-ending single against Baltimore on Tuesday.

Albert Pujols had three hits for the Angels, who blew an eighth-inning lead and stranded 14 runners while losing for the fourth time in five games.

Michael Feliz (3-1) pitched the 12th for Houston.
