A Huntsville man suspected of killing his wife at their home was released from jail on Friday as the investigation — which includes toxicology testing — continues.
Frank Michael Biccum, 60, was released Friday from the Weber County jail after his attorney worked out a "voluntary agreement" with Weber County Attorney Chris Allred.
"We're not prepared to charge him at this point," Allred said, noting that Biccum cannot be held without formal charges.
As part of his conditions for release, Biccum will be required to wear an ankle monitor.
Allred said the medical examiner's initial autopsy for the case was "inconclusive" and could not determine a cause of death for Biccum's wife, 60-year-old Deborah Biccum.
Toxicology results are still pending, though Allred is unsure on a timeline for when those will be completed.
Biccum was arrested Sunday after deputies responded to a report that a man had possibly "hurt or killed his wife" at Lakeside Village, 6486 E. Utah Highway 39, according to the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
When the first responding deputies couldn't make contact with anyone at the condo, they secured the scene and called in SWAT. Shortly after noon, members of the SWAT team entered the condo and discovered Deborah Biccum's body.
The husband was later arrested at a nearby condo.
Although there were no official reports made to police, Weber County Sheriff's authorities said "statements and evidence" indicate a history of domestic violence with the couple.
A search of Utah court records show a limited criminal history for Frank Biccum, with one prior conviction of possessing less than an ounce of marijuana/spice. The wife had no Utah criminal history.
