Cy Young Award winner and World Series champion pitcher Tim Lincecum could be headed to Smith's Ballpark for a rehab assignment with the Salt Lake Bees.

Lincecum, who was signed by the Angels to a one-year deal last week, will throw a simulated game in Arizona, followed by a potential two start rehab assignment in Salt Lake, according to an MLB.com report.

Lincecum told MLB.com Friday that he'll throw the simulated game Monday before he's moved to a minor league affiliate. Angels general manager Billy Epler said the pitcher will spend 20 to 30 days in the minors before he's called up.

The Bees have an eight game homestand beginning Monday against Memphis and Nashville through May 30 that could be targeted for Lincecum's assignment.
