Former Utes running back Devontae Booker was never much for subtlety on the field, bulldozing defenders on his way to 2,773 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns at Utah.

Now a fourth-round NFL draft pick and Denver Broncos rookie, Booker isn't being subtle about his intentions to "take someone's job."

Booker, who's attending the NFL Players Association Rookie Premiere this weekend, was quoted by the NFL's Twitter account saying he intends to assert himself into the Broncos running back rotation sooner rather than later.

"My message to Broncos fans is, I want to be one of the best running backs to come out of Denver," the tweet read. "I'm not there to carry pads, I'm there to take someone's job."

Booker will have to beat out either C.J. Anderson or Ronnie Hillman, who combined for 359 carries, 1,583 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2015. But just as he rarely shied away from contact in the Pac-12, he's not shying away from taking over in Denver.
