Police have identified a woman found dead outside a vacant rental home in northwest Salt Lake City as 30-year-old Amanda Quevedo.

Detectives have not determined how she died. Salt Lake City police Detective Dennis McGowan said the owner of the house, at 134 N. 800 West, found Quevedo outside the structure about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police have not releasing any details on the condition of the body, if there were signs of trauma, or whether she may have died from exposure or a medical problem.

The case was being investigated as "suspicious" by homicide detectives, as is usual in cases of unattended deaths.

The investigation, which will include an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner, is ongoing.
