Woodside Homes of Utah will hold a public grand opening from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday to mark the debut of its Cottages at Fox Hollow subdivision in Saratoga Springs.

The event will be based at 2967 Willow Creek Dr., where visitors can access food trucks and the opportunity to meet Disney princesses, said Woodside Homes Division President Ryan Ortman.

Chamber: Legislature should make business needs a priority

Meeting employers' workforce needs is a business community priority as the 2016 Legislature begins, the Salt Lake Chamber said Tuesday.

Chamber President and CEO Lane Beattie delivered his organization's "Public Policy Guide" to Gov. Gary Herbert, Senate President Wayne Niederhauser and House Speaker Greg Hughes.

The broad-based guide said the Legislature must address "core capital investments" and should work to modernize the tax structure, improve air quality, deal better with homeless populations and water issues.

"The path we choose to take in addressing these challenges and opportunities will either stall or accelerate Utah's current economic momentum," Beattie said.

Three Utah ski resorts recognized for their access to medical care

Besides being easy to reach because of proximity to an international airport, central Wasatch Mountains ski resorts also are drawing praise for being accessible to medical care.

Vitals, an online site that helps people shop for health care coverage, took a look at the access to care available from U.S. ski resorts.

Utah occupied the top three spots. Vitals put Snowbird first, Park City Resort second and Alta third. No mention was made of Brighton or Solitude, although both are as close to Salt Lake Valley medical facilities as Alta and Snowbird, or of Deer Valley, which is adjacent to Park City Resort.
