Film fans don't have to travel to Park City to participate in the Sundance Film Festival's after-hours social scene.

Two Salt Lake City venues will offer live music and artistic performances to celebrate the annual event starting Friday in Salt Lake City. Both venues are free and open to the public.

Salt Lake City Festival Cafe

Sponsored by Visit Salt Lake, this is the place for filmmakers and moviegoers to relax, discuss films and enjoy Sicilia Pizza Kitchen's appetizers, sandwiches, salads, pizzas and calzones. Beer, wine and spirits also are available. And there's live music every evening at 8:30, except on Sunday, Jan. 24, when music begins at 6:30 p.m. Scheduled performers are listed below:

Box Bar

This pop-up lounge, put together by SBDance, Salt Lake City's alternative dance troupe, offers a chance to observe, interact and sometimes even participate with all types of artists. Stop by before or after a movie to enjoy small bites. Beer and cocktails using locally produced spirits will be available for purchase. Live music and artistic performances each night at 8. SBDance performs on the last evening. Other scheduled performers are listed below.
