Believe it: Special Agent Dana Scully is coming to FanX 2016.

Gillian Anderson, best known for her role as the skeptical Scully of "The X-Files," is coming to the pop-culture convention in March. The organizers announced her booking Friday afternoon.

After playing Scully during the show's original nine-season run, plus two movies, Anderson returns for the miniseries revival on Fox this January. The run will have concluded by the time she's in Salt Lake City for the convention, scheduled for March 24-26 at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

Anderson also recently starred in NBC's "Hannibal" and the BBC crime drama "The Fall." She's also the co-author of the EarthEnd Saga book series.

Anderson joins a growing list of celebrity guests, including Norman Reedus and Chandler Riggs from "The Walking Dead," Summer Glau, John Rhys-Davis, and "Doctor Who" alumni Peter Davidson and Sylvester McCoy.

As far as comic books go, FanX's guest list includes "Deadpool" creator Fabian Nicieza, "Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" author and artist Don Rosa, and "Bravest Warriors" writer Kate Leth.
