A group of Utah Republicans, headlined by state Senate President Wayne Niederhauser, announced their support for Carly Fiorina's presidential bid Thursday. Other supporters of the former Hewlett Packard CEO and the only woman vying for the GOP nomination include state Auditor John Dougall, a co-chairman with Niederhauser, along with five state lawmakers and a group of party insiders. All told, her Utah leadership team includes 17 people.

"It's time we elect a conservative outsider who will get our country back on track," Niederhauser, R-Sandy, said.

Fiorina has made two stops in Utah during her campaign, one to attend Mitt Romney's summer policy summit, and another for a quick fundraiser.

Sen. Orrin Hatch has announced his support for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush. And Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has received significant backing from Utah's Republicans as well. His supporters include U.S. Reps. Chris Stewart and Mia Love, Utah House Speaker Greg Hughes and Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox.

The Utah Republican Party is planning an online presidential primary and voting at party caucuses on March 22.
