A private showing of "The Good Dinosaur" is being held next week in West Valley City to help a 37-year-old woman who is battling multiple sclerosis buy a robotic mobilization device (RMD).

The movie will be shown 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatre at Valley Fair Mall, 3620 S. 2400 West. Tickets are $12 and include popcorn.

The proceeds will benefit An-g Cunningham, a West Valley City resident who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at age 14. Cunningham has difficulty getting around her home in her large wheelchair and is trying to raise $20,000 to buy an RMD, which allows users to move around in narrow spaces and other previously inaccessible places while in a standing position.

The West Valley Professional Firefighters, Local 2970 of the International Association of Firefighters, has been helping with the effort and made $8,467 at a Nov. 14 fundraiser garage sale.

Including other donations, Cunningham now has a total of $10,841, according to her fundraising page.

Cunningham said the theater management offered a private screening at a discounted price to help her reach her goal.
