Planned Parenthood officials in Utah issued assurances about security at its facilities in the wake of a clinic shooting in Colorado.
Planned Parenthood Association of Utah CEO Karrie Galloway said in a statement late Friday that the organization has "robust security measures" in place and works closely with law enforcement.
Galloway says health centers in Salt Lake and West Valley are open for regular weekend hours as planned.
Other facilities, however, are closed for Thanksgiving weekend.
Galloway says she is "heartbroken" about the shooting outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs.
Authorities there say 57-year-old Robert Lewis Dear killed three people, including a police officer, and wounded nine others on Friday.
Dear allegedly got in a five-hour siege that included gun battles with police before his arrest.
