West Jordan police are looking for a driver who allegedly hit a teenage girl on Halloween night.

The 15-year-old girl was crossing 7000 South, at 1451 West, with two other teens in a marked crosswalk, said West Jordan Police Sgt. Joe Monson. But about 9:25 p.m., an eastbound black car reportedly hit the girl.

The driver momentarily stopped, said he was sorry and then left, Monson said. Police describe the driver as about 20 years old with dark hair, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7, and he was wearing all black.

The girl suffered "obvious broken bones," though none of her injuries are considered life threatening, Monson added.

The car was possibly a BMW, the sergeant said, and he asked that anyone with information about the incident to call dispatch at 801-840-4000.
