About 160 soldiers from the Utah Army National Guard received a send off Sunday as they prepare to deploy to Kuwait.

The soldiers are from the 116th Engineering Company, located in Mount Pleasant and Spanish Fork. The deployment ceremony Sunday was at Wright Air Base in Salt Lake City.

From there, the soldiers flew to Fort Bliss, Texas, for two months of training before reporting to Kuwait for 12 months.
