Firefighters were responding Friday afternoon to a brush fire at Camp Williams.

The fire, reported at 5:12 p.m., is at about 17800 South and Camp Williams Road (1550 West), according to a dispatch website.

The Unified Fire Authority said the fire is burning on about 15 acres of land, which is mostly covered by sage brush and trees. About 20 firefighters are battling the blaze and water is being dropped on it from a helicopter.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
